Professional Cycling: Vail and Avon are a part of the 11 stage race through Colorado. The race will be held August 22-28 of 2011.  Vail will be hosting a time trial on August 25, 2011, and Avon will be the start of the stage that will take riders to Steamboat, CO the overall route is expected to be released in early 2011. This Event is part of the 2010 World Cup of Ski Racing, and is the only stop in the United States.
