1. FREE ski or snowboard tips are offered for intermediate and advanced skiers from Mid Vail at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Snowboarders looking for free tips depart from the base of Golden Peak at 11 a.m. Offered November 28 – December 16, 2005 & January 9 – February 4, 2006.
2. Never been to Beaver Creek or Vail? Join a knowledgeable guide for the FREE Mountain Welcome & Blue Sky Basin Tours designed to introduce you to the vast terrain and amenities of both Beaver Creek and Vail Mountains. The Beaver Creek Mountain Welcome Tour meets daily at 10:00 am at the “Information” sign at the top of the Centennial Express Lift #6. The Vail Mountain welcome Tour meets at 9:30 am at LionsHead and Vail Village, Blue Sky Basin tour meets at the Blue Sky Basin Information sign at the top of lifts #4, #5, & #11 and are available to intermediate and advanced skiers and riders.
3.The Gondola is FREE after 2:00 p.m. in the winter and in the summer after 5:00 pm Thursday thru Saturday – take a FREE scenic ride up to the top of the mountain to enjoy the views and activities at Adventure Ridge.
4. In the winter, on Wednesday nights, don’t miss the FREE concert series in the streets of Vail Village. Each week features a different act and provides family entertainment for all! Concert series dates: November 30 – December 14, 2005 and March 8 – April 19, 2006; 6pm – 7:30pm
5. In the winter, parking after 3:00 p.m. in the Vail Village and LionsHead parking structures is FREE! In the summer, parking is free all day, everyday.
6. Sign up for our FREE PEAKS program and start earning points toward FREE skiing and more. Get started on snow.com’s PEAKS page or stop by any ticket office while you’re in Vail or Beaver Creek.
7. Kids 4 years and under ski and ride all lifts for FREE, year-round.
8. Ski Free / Stay Free December, January and April lodging and lift ticket packages at Beaver Creek West or other properties could give you a FREE day of skiing and FREE night of lodging when you purchase a multi-night package.
9. The Colorado Ski Museum offers a historical look back on the History of Skiing for a mere $1 fee – that’s basically FREE!
10.When you register your kids for Ski & Snowboard School, their lift tickets are FREE as part of the lesson package.
11.The Activities Desk (970-476-9090) is a great resource for information and reservations for Ski & Snowboard School, Adventure Ridge, Small World Playschool, mountain dining and more!. Book ahead, don’t miss out on any of the fun!
12.All Avon and Vail in-town shuttle service is free, including the Beaver Creek skier shuttle. Town of Vail buses run regularly between the eastern end of Vail Village and the western end of LionsHead. Scheduled buses to East Vail and West Vail run frequently as well.
13. Free access to the Sprint Communication Center at Eagle’s Nest – complimentary services include private phone, fax, computer and copier use, internet and email access, Bloomberg terminal and report, TTY and relay services. The center is open 7 days a week, 10am-4pm.
14. Nightly free programming at Beaver Creek calls for Rail Jams for skiers and snowboarders of all levels Thursday and Saturday, disco ice skating on Fridays and Sundays, as well as stories by the fire and snow- tubing on other nights. Check with Beaver Creek for exact details and locations. All of these activities are also FREE.
